About

MAC Rowing is a nationally prominent club rowing team for high school kids in the L.A. area, with over 120 athletes from 25+ area high schools. We not only train super hard and have lots of fun, but we also go very, very fast.

What I’m Raising Money For

My team is raising money in the hopes of getting a sleek new 8-oared racing shell that would be used daily. These boats are state-of-the-art. They're mostly made of carbon fiber and are designed to be stiff, light and fast in the water. They're also very expensive, which is why we need your help!

Why You Should Give

Winning boat races isn't what this is all about. It's what we are learning about ourselves and about being a part of something larger than ourselves. It's about finding strength we never knew we had, about overcoming obstacles that seemed insurmountable at first and about becoming our best version of ourselves. It's about friendship and family and perseverance and self-sacrifice and hard work. We do all that in carbon fiber racing boats. So you're not just contributing to a boat that might help us win a race some day - you're helping us grow and thrive and develop the confidence, strength and resilience that is characteristic not just of good athletes, but of exceptional people. This new equipment would allow us to translate our unstoppable drive and unbreakable bonds, onto the water.
