    Update from Madelaine Cookson

I would appreciate your support in helping the Marina Aquatic Centre's Junior rowing program in Marina del Rey. As part of the women's junior varsity boat this Fall, we have had several strong performances both here in the West and in Boston, MA too. We are training 6 days a week for more than 2 hours every day to earn another trip back to the US Junior National Rowing Championships which will be held on the West Coast in Sacramento, CA this year. This is my 5th year of rowing with MAC (closing in on 85,000 miles commuting back and forth to the rowing club alone) and the program has been very important to me. The program has provided me with summer rowing opportunities to compete in France, Canada and at the US National level. The program has also provided me with the chance to attend a strong university science program next year and to compete as a Division 1 athlete. The money we earn will go towards funding new equipment such as boats, oars and rowing machines.
