About

MAC Rowing is a nationally prominent club rowing team which caters to high school students from everywhere in the Los Angeles area. At MAC we have over 120 athletes from over 25 high schools. At MAC we not only go fast, but we have fun!

What I’m Raising Money For

Every year, we raise money for new equipment. This year, we are raising money for a number of things, but most importantly a new 8! We need your help because unfortunately these boats are not cheap. They are mostly made of carbon fiber and are designed to be stiff, light, and most importantly fast in the water.

Why You Should Give

Winning boat races isn't what this is all about. It's what we are learning about ourselves and about being a part of something larger than ourselves. It's about finding strength we never knew we had, about overcoming obstacles that seemed insurmountable at first and about becoming our best version of ourselves. It's about friendship and family and perseverance and self-sacrifice and hard work. We do all that in carbon fiber racing boats. So you're not just contributing to a boat that might help us win a race some day - you're helping us grow and thrive and develop the confidence, strength and resilience that is characteristic not just of good athletes, but of exceptional people.
