About
FIRST Robotics Competition Team 980 ThunderBots is a 501(c)(3) public charity and competitive robotics team with the mission of inspiring young people to become science, technology, and business leaders.
I joined Team 980 this year in hopes to explore my interest in robotics; Specifically coding and designing robots. After my short experience on a robotics team in elementary school, Astrotech, I would love to continue learning and exploring robotics on a more in depth level.
What I’m Raising Money For
In order for the team to have specialized materials/tools (for CAD, controls, design, fabrication, etc.), train students, and go to competitions, we need funds to help us design and build the best possible competition robot while training students in the fundamentals of Robotics. Your contribution will be highly beneficial to the team!
Why You Should Give
In the past, Team 980 has relied on corporate sponsors for the majority of our revenue, but those sponsorships are no longer adequate to cover all our expenses. Your help is greatly appreciated from all the students, mentors, and leaders. Thank you for creating more opportunities!
