About
My name is Johnny Soto, and I am currently a Junior at Careers in Sports High School in the Bronx, New York. Each day out of my week consists of a period in which I am a Chemistry teacher's assistant, as well as a peer tutor for the same subject after school. Since beginning the class, Chemistry has been an interesting science due to the fact that it allows me to gain a greater understanding of the world around us. For example, the very fascinating boiling and freezing point of water, or atomic theory. I enjoy lifting others up, while cultivating everyone's knowledge relative to the sciences.
What I’m Raising Money For
The money raised would allow me to participate in a prestigious Pre-College Program in upstate New York. Through laboratory work and rigorous writing classes, I can better prepare myself for work that would be necessary as an Astrophysicist, which I aspire to be.
Why You Should Give
With a sharpened ability in laboratory work, this program will increase my ability to work among peers and create successful laboratory reports for the general public to observe and learn from. In relation to my dream occupation in Astrophysics, I can apply my knowledge of Chemistry to a breakthrough in Astrophysics, like harnessing a new kind of energy source for the world to use.
