About

FIRST Robotics Competition Team 980 ThunderBots, a 501(c)(3) public charity, inspires high school students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) fields. We are a FIRST Chairman's Team, building competitive robots and immersing our students in a hands-on, six-week product development cycle, followed by intense competition events.

What I’m Raising Money For

Funds raised by our "FRC Team 980 Launches into 2019!" Challenge will be used to purchase parts, materials, and supplies for building our robot. Our students are working hard to exceed our $5,000 kickoff goal!

Why You Should Give

In a period when highly-skilled technical staff is in high-demand, few programs inspire high school students to choose high-tech career paths like FIRST. Our team members learn the critical life-skills allowing them to succeed in technical careers. In addition, FIRST Robotics Competition students are eligible for millions of dollars in scholarships to leading colleges and universities.
