About
MAC Rowing is my home away from home! It's a rowing ("crew") team for high school students with athletes from all over the LA area and over 25 different schools represented. We row in Marina del Rey, with practices six days a week. The coaches emphasize teamwork, effort and dedication and it's really paying off.
What I’m Raising Money For
We're raising money for the many things that our annual team fees don't cover, especially the expensive boats themselves! A new 8-oared boat can cost over $50,000 and we're doing our part to keep our fleet up to date, in good repair and ready to race!

Update from Katrina Blackman
Dear Friends and Family, Most of you know that I spend a large portion of my time rowing for the Marina Aquatic Center (MAC) Junior Rowing Team. As a senior, I’ve almost been on the team for four years! Rowing has been a passion of mine for some time, and as I prepare to hopefully continue my journey at the collegiate level, I look back on the team that’s given me all of the tools I’ve ever needed to grow and thrive throughout high school. Right now, I’m working hard to raise money for the team. We hope to raise money for new equipment, such as boats, ergs, unis, oars, gear, and more so that I can keep doing what I love, and so the program can continue to shape incredible athletes. If you can contribute even $5, my team will be one step closer to being able to afford the equipment that makes the program possible. This team and the community within it has shaped me to be the person I am today, and supporting it means the world to me. The link is attached here if you’d like to donate.
