Hi! I’m Jamil Al-Sakini

I’m working hard to raise money for the White Rock Mock Trial Empire Competition fundraiser led by Kim Elkjer/ Bryan Adams High School Mock Trial Team Booster Club.

I am currently working hard to raise money for our team to participate in the very prestigious, invitation-only Empire Mock Trial Competition. We attended last year and it is, by far, the best way for our team to gain the valuable experience we need to rank in the state. We will use the money raised for costs associated with scrimmages and, hopefully, we will raise enough to attend the competition in San Francisco in November.

This means a lot to me because Lake Highlands High is a Title I school. Our mock trial team (and our school) do not have the same resources as the teams that we compete against. Many, if not most, of the teams competing at the state level also compete in the Empire Mock Trial Competition. Participating in the Empire Competition is, by far, the best way for our team to obtain the valuable experience that we need to reach our goal of ranking in state.
