About
On Sunday, March 24th, our novice and varsity rowers will be at Eastview Mall to raise money and awareness for not only Pittsford Crew, but for Golisano Children's Hospital as well. Our rowers will be rowing on erg machines at this event that will take place from noon until 4pm. Come cheer us on!
What I’m Raising Money For
Because Pittsford Crew is a non-profit organization and not supported by the local school districts, all of our boats, rowing equipment, launches, motors, boat lifts, enhancements, upgrades, repairs to our docks and maintenance to our facilities are made possible by the fundraising efforts of our rowers, families and community! Also, because our rowers care about helping other organizations in our community, they have designated Golisano Children's Hospital as the charity they would like to support with this year's event!
Why You Should Give
Crew is the ultimate team sport, and our athletes learn not only the commitment of teamwork, but integrity and a sense of community. The values learned through the sport goes beyond the water and extends into the community, in the spirit of giving back and helping others. Pittsford Crew is dedicated to further the endeavors of Golisano Children's Hospital by donating a portion of the proceeds raised through this event to their efforts as well.
Each rower will be tasked with rowing a total of one hour of rowing, however if we reach a goal of $500 raised, I will be personally rowing a marathon which is 42,195 meters (or 26.2 miles) in support of Golisano and everything they do, either at the actual event or at some point in the coming future. I owe so much to them personally and they are the reason that I am still able to row and do what I love.
