About

Mackay High School is situated over 100 miles from a traffic light in the remote, rural Big Lost River Valley. The county is over 94% federally owned and managed. The valley has few opportunities for future employment--with the exception of the growing industry in fish production and fish biology. The school currently has a small aquaculture lab in a modified greenhouse. With this fish lab students have produced and released fish into local waters in collaboration with the Idaho Fish and Game and the United States Forest Service.

They were thrilled to receive it and will put it to good use towards the new fish lab they are building. This is such a great program and I am personally thankful to Clear Springs Foods for the support of these kids and the program.
