About
As a club team we aim to empower UC Davis women and set them up for success both on an off the water. On December 2nd, our athletes will be rowing in two teams for 12 consecutive hours, competing for most meters rowed.
Our team is not a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit and thus donations made through Piggybackr will not be tax deductible, however, 100% of the proceeds will go to the team.
If you would prefer to make a tax-deductible gift through the University please refer to our our donations page at ucdrowing.com. 6% of these donations will be recouped by the University and you will receive a tax receipt. Use this option if your company will match your donation.
What I’m Raising Money For
The money raised from our Erg-A-Thon will go to refurbishing our Resolute 8+'s, funding new equipment purchases and travel costs.
Why You Should Give
This year we are excited to train, race and win but also need to raise the necessary funds to sustain a competitive club program. The team is poised for growth and building future success: with a roster of over 35 athletes. As a club sport, rowers’ dues are not enough to fund everything. From regatta expenses to replacing aging equipment to coaches’ salaries, the team must rely on the support of friends, family and alumni to fund program costs. With your support we are able to introduce new women to the sport of rowing and allow them to compete on a national level regardless of experience.

Update from Olivia Walsh
Dear friends and family, As you may have heard, on December 2nd, our team completed our annual Erg-A-Thon, sweeping last year’s record with a stunning 320,000 kilometers logged on the ergometers. Our rowers accomplished this by keeping the ergs going for 12 consecutive hours, showing off their strength and dedication. So far, we have raised over $6,000 in donations, bringing us closer to our $10,000 goal and we are hoping to meet that goal by the end of the year. As a club, we depend on the generosity of friends, family, alumni, and other supporters of the program to keep our club strong and help offset yearly costs. A donation would allow us to support current athletes through new equipment purchases, funding upcoming travel races, and our coaches’ salaries. Just recently, we were able to purchase a new speedcoach for our novice coxswains, who are ecstatic to practice with their new equipment!
