About
Camp Randall Rowing Club is a non-profit, volunteer club offering year-round junior competitive rowing program for high school students from all over Dane County, as well as programs for middle school students and a We Can Row program for female cancer survivors. We participate in regattas across the Midwest both in the spring and fall. We practice out of the Brittingham Boathouse on Monona Bay in Madison. When we’re not rowing on Lake Monona, we cross-train, run, and row on
rowing machines (ergs). We do a lot of erging!
What I’m Raising Money For
What is an ERG-A- THON?
On March 3rd CRRC Rowers will hop on the ergs at 8am and row. And row. And row.
The theme of this year’s Erg-A- Thon is “life is a marathon, not a sprint.” All rowers will participate in completing a marathon (42,195 meters!) on the Concept 2 ergometer, in teams of 2-4.
Our annual Erg-A-Thon is how we raise money for much-needed equipment. Our goal this
year is to raise $15,000 to purchase replacement parts for ergs, new Concept II ergs, NK Blue Ocean Megaphones,Concept II Ultralight oars, replacement parts for our boats to maintain our fleet, and safety suits for our coxswains.
This years Erg-A-Thon will take place Saturday, March 3rd , 2018 from
8:00–11:00 am at Brittingham Boathouse.
Why You Should Give
Rowing is a great team sport that teaches the kids to strive for excellence both on and off the water and promotes lifelong healthy activities through an understanding and appreciation of the sport of rowing. It is important to keep our equipment up-to- date not only to give us a competitive edge, but also to keep us safe on the water.
Donations ARE tax deductible! Once the Piggybackr closes you can still mail donations, payable to: Camp Randall Rowing Club, PO Box 258160, Madison, WI 53716
Please feel free to join us at the ERG-A- THON on March 3rd or consider coming to a regatta if you can. We will be hosting
the Monona Invite here in Madison on April 21 st , 2018. We would love to have you come down to beautiful Lake
Monona and cheer us on.

2018 Erg A Thon Update
Update from Camp Randall Rowing Club
Hello! CRRC kicked off their Spring racing season Monday following Saturday's big Erg-A-Thon. At this years Erg-A-Thon, rowers erged in teams for over 3 hours to complete a full marathon. Some did it while eating brats. It was quite a sight. On the fundraising side you helped CRRC raise $12,593.00 (only $2500 to go)! We sincerely appreciate your generosity and support of Camp Randall Rowing Club. Without your support we would not be able to buy necessary items to repair and update our current equipment. If you are local please consider coming to see us race in person April 21st at the Monona Invite. Info here: http://camprandallrc.org/monona-invite/ We'll be back in touch with a final update after the fundraiser closes April 2nd. Sincerely, Camp Randall Rowing Club Rowers, Coaches and Parents
