What I’m Raising Money For
To support Artemis Rowing's youth rowing programs, a scholarship program, as well as to purchase and maintain our boats and equipment in safe working order. Priority purchases for 2020 are boats, one launch with motor, oars and stroke coaches to accommodate our growing number of athletes.
Why You Should Give
Artemis Rowing cannot operate on registration fees alone. We must fundraise throughout the year, apply for grants, and solicit corporate sponsorships to support our youth rowing programs, hire and retain experienced coaching staff certified by US Rowing, and maintain our boats and equipment in safe working order. We encourage corporate donations and matching contributions as well!

Update from Natasha Friesenhahn
Hi All, Natasha is fundraising for her rowing team, Artemis Rowing Club because the club is in need of new boats, oars, launches, and other equipment to keep the kids safe. Money raised will also go toward the Artemis Rowing scholarship fund. Natasha’s goal is to raise $500 for her team. Please consider making a donation. You all know Natasha loves rowing. Natasha has been part of Artemis Rowing Club in Oakland since she tried rowing in 6th grade. Artemis is a small team where Natasha has had the opportunity to compete at many regional regattas as well as regattas in Southern CA, and just last month in Seattle, WA. At Artemis Natasha has been lucky to not only learn to row, but also learn to make a commitment to her team, and to give 100% effort. Most importantly, at Artemis Natasha has made good friends who respect her, and are supportive - very valuable to a teenage girl in the age of Instagram likes and Snapchat. Artemis Rowing Club is a non-profit with athletes from many East Bay schools participating in it’s youth rowing programs. Artemis strives to introduce the sport of rowing to East Bay youth and offers scholarships so that finances are not a barrier to participation. Thank you for your support of Natasha and her team!! Best, Marie
