About
As the PTSO name states, this organization was intended to provide much-needed support to our school through our partnership between our parents, teachers, and students. The funds raised by PTSO are used in many different ways and supplement events and programs that otherwise would not be able to occur. In the past, we have provided supplemental assistance to school projects, needs for our students, appreciation, and recognition for staff, and to fully fund the Senior Decision Day Breakfast.
What I’m Raising Money For
The bulk of funds raised for PTSO is by being a partner in the PTO Thrift Store. This funding from the thrift store is determined by meeting a minimum number of volunteer hours and then dividing profits by the percentage above the minimum with all schools that are partners. We have student groups, parents, and teachers that help by volunteering their time throughout the year. If you or your family members are able to give just a few hours of your time to the PTO thrift store, you will be helping to contribute and give back to our school and organization. The PTO Thrift Store is located at 303 S Steele St in Sanford and is open Tuesdays - Saturdays from 9 am - 5 pm. Students must be 12 years of age or older to volunteer and be accompanied by an adult (one adult per child).
Why You Should Give
In the meantime, to ramp up our efforts in supplementing our school, we are requesting for families that are willing and able to make a donation to our PTSO. We believe that this is the simplest and most efficient way to guarantee that we are able to continue with the original intentions of the Parent Teacher Student Organization of Lee County High School and assist in any way we can. For several years, our PTSO has struggled to find volunteers and has remained mostly stagnant. We are in the midst of trying to revitalize this much needed organization for our school.
