About
I am the coach of the LHHS Mock Trial Team. They are a unique group of extremely hard working kids. Last year, we won at both the Dallas District level and the Regional Semi-Finals and then progressed to the Final Round of the Regional 10 competition. This year, we are focused on going to state!
What I’m Raising Money For
I am currently working hard to raise money for our team to participate in the very prestigious, invitation only Empire Mock Trial Competition. We attended last year and it is, by far, the best way for our team to gain the valuable experience we need to make it to state.
We will use the money raised for costs associated with scrimmages and, hopefully, we will raise enough to attend the competition in New York in November.
Why You Should Give
Lake Highlands High is a Title I school. Our mock trial team (and our school) do not have the same resources as the teams that we compete against. Many, if not most, of the teams competing at the state level also compete in the Empire Mock Trial Competition. Participating in the Empire Competition is, by far, the best way for our team to obtain the valuable experience that we need to reach our goal of going to state.
