About
Oakland Strokes is one of the premier 501(c)3 nonprofit youth rowing organizations in the United States. We have produced 12 National Championship teams and won elite events all over the US and around the world. 3 Oakland Strokes Alumni Rowers even participated in the 2012 London Olympics.
What I’m Raising Money For
Ongoing and Capital Needs. Ongoing expenses not covered by rower dues are over $170,000 in 2014-2015. We also have capital needs of $100,000 to 150,000 each year for the purchase of boats, launches, and other capital equipment.
