Hello, my name is Jessica Ezem and I am a junior at Bronx Center for Science and Mathematics. I got accepted into the Global Glimpse travel program and I have been given the opportunity to travel to Estelí, Nicaragua in the month of July. I

What I’m Raising Money For

In Nicaragua, I will experience being a student, work as a local earning just a dollar a day, and teach students how to speak English. This trip will expose me to a completely different way of life and show me the experiences of other people who do not have the same opportunities that I am given in the United Sates. I am tremendously appreciative of this opportunity to learn and grow as an individual. I am also really excited to meet new people and learn skills that I will utilize in the future. This opportunity is not given to everybody and I am really grateful for this.

Why You Should Give

You should give me money because my experience in Nicaragua will benefit my future career. I would like to be an activist and work with non-profit organizations to help people. This trip will allow me to build leadership skills, explore nature, and learn about the culture and people of Nicaragua. I will also be living in the same conditions as the native people, communicating with them in Spanish, eating the same food, etc. This trip will allow me to fully understand the lives of people which is a vital skill for activists
