About
FIRST Robotics Team 2404 provides free hands-on robotics education to students in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, with mentoring from professional engineers. The team was founded in 2008 by Neighbors Empowering Youth, an award-winning non-profit that provides computers and technical classes for the broader community.
What I’m Raising Money For
We are fundraising for our robotics team to succeed in the 2024 FIRST Robotics competition. These include getting necessary shop tools such as drills, drill bits, sanders, and more for $2,000. Tools are vital to the team's hands-on learning experience. Additionally, we need $2,000 for transportation expenses to participate in the "AEROSPACE VALLEY REGIONAL." As we will need to rent multiple vans for 3 days of the competition. We also need about $3,000 for us to purchase important robot parts including screws, metal, wire, and more. Moreover, we need $1,000 for the game field part mockups, $1,000 for food during the three days of our competition, and $1,000 for team t-shirts. And lastly, $15,000 for championship reserves to ensure our team's continued success If we make it to the FIRST Robotics championship.
Cost breakdown of what we need to raise for our robotics team :
(Shop tools drills, drill bits, sanders, and more) $2,000
Travel for local competition $3,000
(Robot parts for spring competition) $3,000
(Field part mockups) $1,000
(Food/drink for three days of the competition) $2,000
(Team t-shirts) $1,000
(Championship reserves) $15,000
With our NASA JPL Sponsorship which pays for our registration, we are $5K towards our $33K goal with $28K remaining”
Total Cost $28,000

Why You Should Give
Why You Should Give
The FIRST Robotics Competition is an exciting, multinational competition that teams professionals and young people together to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The program is a life-changing, career-molding experience and a lot of fun. The competition shows students that the basic concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) are exciting and hold many opportunities.
Your donations to team 2404 help create STEM opportunities for our students in the San Gabriel Valley.
Thank you for supporting our team!
