About
Artemis Rowing Club located at Jack London Aquatic Center in Oakland CA offers Middle School, Novice and Varsity Rowing programs to local East Bay youth grades 6-12. We offer needs based scholarships for low- to moderate-income youth. Artemis' highly experienced coaching staff lead this program with a culture designed to develop our athletes to their full capacity physically, technically, mentally and socially by fostering healthy competition, teamwork and focus. Artemis is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, EIN 46-2227777.
* We encourage and gratefully accept corporate matching of employee donations -- ask your company about charitable giving to local community youth programs.
** Artemis Rowing Club thanks CruFIT for once again hosting the Ergathon event. CruFIT is located at 6125 Medau Place, Oakland (Montclair District) 94611.
What I’m Raising Money For
We are raising money to fund our scholarship program as well as to purchase new (and gently used) boats, trailers, boat engines, safety equipment, parts and tools to maintain our equipment in good working order. Artemis is in particular need of new Trainer 8 boats (approximate cost $10,000), training ergs (approximate cost $1,000) and monies to fund Fall/Spring Season scholarships for eligible students.
Why You Should Give
Rowing is an amazing sport that develops important skills for a lifetime. Rowers learn to go beyond their own expectations, and will develop a sense of teamwork and responsibility. Artemis relies on the financial support of our rowing families and friends to deliver youth rowing programs with exceptional coaching staff. Registration fees for our rowers covers coaches' salary, rent, insurance, and other administrative fees.

Artemis Rowing Club's Fundraiser Ends Soon!
Update from Laurel Bishop
|||| UPDATE! Our Ergathon is in less than a week! (12/9) Please donate and share! |||| Dear friends & family, As some of you might know, I have been rowing at Artemis Rowing Club for almost 3 years and I've loved every minute of it. Recently, fellow Artemis varsity member Emma Bernou and I won a silver medal in the women's pair at USRowing Youth National Championships in June. We would really love to go back to Nationals in 2018 but we can't do it alone. We need your help in buying new equipment to replace our outdated equipment to help us be a more high tech and efficient team. We are raising money to fund our scholarship program as well as to purchase new (and gently used) boats, trailers, boat engines, safety equipment, parts and tools to maintain our equipment in good working order. Artemis is in particular need of new Trainer 8 boats (approximate cost $10,000), training ergs (indoor rowing machines, approximate cost $1,000) and money to fund Fall/Spring Season scholarships for eligible students. Thank you for your support. It means so much to me. Sincerely, Laurel Bishop
