About
Newport Sea Base is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of youth through the sport of rowing. Our coaches train over 80 high school athletes for competition on the national level with the goal to obtain college admissions through rowing recruitment. Each athlete is evaluated on their potential – not where they currently are and are challenged to develop beyond what they think is possible.
What I’m Raising Money For
This is our biggest fundraiser for the season. On February 10th, all participants and rowers through NSBR will be split into relay teams to row 300,000 meters. Any money raised prior to Feb 10th will help reduce the number of meters that each team needs to row. The team with the fastest finish time will win! Help me raise funds for both team and club!
All donations go towards subsidizing youth scholarships, trip costs, maintenance of equipment, training and new equipment. This year our goal is $40,000 and the money will help NSBR continue to provide a top-tier training for the whole team.
Why You Should Give
Your donation enables NSBR to continue training athletes, such as I for the highest level of competition but also to open our doors to anyone who wants to be a part of NSBR. I would like any youth athlete regardless of their athletic background, natural ability, or financial situation to be able to participate in the fantastic sport of rowing, but we need equipment and support to be able to continue to provide this opportunity to all going forward. NSBR helps all of our athletes develop both physical and mental strength, broadening their horizons as we learn to trust and support our teammates while establishing our own sense of confidence and commitment.

Boat Sponsor
We are need of a new/used FOUR (4) to help our athletes maximize their practice time and also this will allow more athletes out on the water. Possible naming rights (with approval) and we'll list your name (and your logo, if you are company) prominently on our website as a thank you for your generous support for the season. A picture will be provided of our athletes with the new boat.

Sponsor a new set of oars
This allows us to purchase a new set of racing oars from Concept II, the leading oar manufacturer in the US. A full set of oars (8) allows us to pass our current oars down the ranks, so that all of our athletes benefit. A full set contains 8 built-to-order oars. Each oar will be permanently dedicated to a name of your choosing (with approval) and a picture will be provided of our athletes with the new oars. We can use unlimited amounts of oars.
