The group is made up of UC Berkeley students from all backgrounds of race, class, and academic departments. Hi, I'm Jack Higgins and I'm part of the Stamford Rites of Passage Program which is a deep dive study of the African Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and African American history. We meet from 9-2pm on Saturdays for 14 weeks and the program culminates with a journey to West Africa.

I am finishing up my 10th grade year at Judson High School. I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program, on the JV soccer team, and a violin player in orchestra. I have been involved in PREP, where I have earned a $15,000 scholarship to St. Mary’s University. I also an active member in Girl Scouts, where I have earned the Bronze and Silver Awards and have served as a Girl Scout Program Aide and Board member. Upon graduation in 2017, I aspire to attend college and eventually get a career in Civil Engineering.
Empower Today's Eco-Leaders, Greening Forward

Greening Forward is a youth-driven network of over 2,000 young changemakers, ages 5-25, working together to support each other's vision of a more sustainable world. Through peer-to-peer mentorship, +110 online skill-building resources, and over $35,000 in grant support, Greening Forward youth across the world are able to drive the environmental change they wish to see in their communities.
