The Rochester Rowing Club (RRC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of youth through the sport of rowing. RRC is run solely by volunteer coaches and parents who believe in what the sport of rowing does for these young athletes.
What I'm Raising Money For:
As many of you know because you helped us raise money this winter, our rowers held a very successful fundraising campaign to enable them to travel to Austin, Texas to train over spring break. On Easter morning we were shocked to discover that our 13 year old Ford Excursion was stolen along equipment such as cox boxes, stroke coaches, megaphones, tools, spare parts, as well as the brand new tires we had just purchased. We are now trying to raise money to purchase another truck and replace lost equipment in time to be able to use it for our spring season.
Why You Should Give:
The Rochester Rowing Club is committed to making this season possible for our young athletes. The kids have done their part - they raised $10,000 once this year, they worked hard all winter on their rowing machines., they trained over spring break, and they continue to row in the snow, rain, and cold this spring. We believe in this sport and these kids. We are asking once more for your generosity to help us recover from this devastating loss for our club.
